Not so. Few will surrender their guns. Everyone I have talked to have said they will not only refuse to surrender their firearms, they would only consider doing that if they were adequately compensated for them.The fact is that theft, whether perpetrated by criminals or thieves in political office using the police as their patsies is a violation of the law and an illegal act punishable by financial penalty/imprisonment.
So the system has to change the regulations to make it legal. An immoral/criminal law is a non law and in many cases with firearm owners, a violation of their Charter rights top security of the person and freedom of religion.
This will be interesting.
